Enoch has to wait a bit, but the upgrade is free.
Outriders, the action role-playing game from People Can Fly and Square Enix, see a delay in release from the Christmas weekend 2020 to February 2, 2021. Given the prevailing circumstances, it is no surprise that another production is postponed.
In connection with the announcement of the release date, People Can Fly also announces that Outriders get a next gen upgrade on consoles completely at no extra cost. Worth remembering is that the format of the game must match the console on the Playstation, that is Outriders to PS4 on disc can only upgrade to PS5 if the console has a disc reader. As for the Xbox, the game uses the Xbox Smart Delivery.
In a climate where games are being rushed to satisfy board members and shareholders, every delayed game is a win for the players. No player wants broken shitty games. To Outriders Delayed by a few months is phenomenal, not just because the game does not compete with Cyberpunk 2077, but to give developers more time to work on their game.
The delay also suits me as I recently learned that my order for Playstation 5 will not be able to be met until the release on 19 November. Instead, I have to wait until after the turn of the year. Outriders is such a meaty game that I just have to play it on PS5. hopefully I do not have to wait until April 2021 before taking the step to the next gen.
