Watch Bidoof’s Big Stand on Youtube!

Do you like cartoons? Do you like Bidoof? Then Bidoof’s Big Stand is for you!

The Pokémon Company International periodically updates its official Pokémon channel on Youtube with all kinds of animations. It applies to everything from silly rickrolls to entire Pokémon episodes of the more serious variety. They all also have very decent quality. If you like Pokémon content at all, I recommend that you wedge over there and subscribes already now.

This time they offer the short animated adventure Bidoof’s Big Stand. In this story, both we and the characters are confronted with the eternal question: Is Bidoof really good for anything other than HMs *?

Find out for yourself the truth about Bidoof. Big Oof or No Ooof?

Phenomenon Bidoof Day

If you’re already a fan of the official Pokémon channel, you may have already heard of Bidoof Day. Yep, that’s an actual thing. The fantastic little beaver has its own day, which comes to mind first of July every year. On twitter has the channel received “criticism” for failing to post this cozy little animated clip on the right day.

In their answer, however, we find out the truth: they tried but did not succeed in reaching the right deadline. But what does it do? Just as they themselves say, I have to agree: every day can be Bidoof Day if you want!

* If you’ve never played a classic Pokémon adventure before, the term HM may need an explanation. HM stands for Hidden Move and refers to the techniques that trainers must obtain in order to advance in the terrain in each Pokémon adventure. It was very common in the past in the older games that an early Normal Type Pokémon like Rattata or Bidoof took on that role and had all their attacks replaced by HMs. If you want to know how they solved this in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, you can read the review here.
